Yeah, I guess so. But considering that both the 1939-40 Russo-Finnish War and the 1936-39 Spanish Civil War involved forces several times larger than D-Day, I'd like to see them represented with more than just cards. It was a big deal then!A first pass . . .
The Spanish Civil War could be modeled with 3 CVs of Republican forces holding Madrid and Barcelona, and 3 CVs of Nationalist forces in Leon (1 CV crossing from Gibraltar. Influence cards for Spain can be played by the Great Powers to add 1 CV to the faction of their choice. Direct military intervention on behalf of one side or the other does not require a VoN.
