Colonies: I like the new cards and new corporations. I like that one has a bit more option to do something with spare resources, and that some awards (e.g. heat) are not an autoloss, but I am not too fond of the various cards depending on floaters... which is because...
Venus Next: I don't like this expansion at all. Venus is just a resource sink. The cards tend to be mostly venus or blue action cards focused. Further extending the game and more fiddly resources. The times I've seen someone accumulate 16 blue action cards which merit altogether 1-2 VPs per generation is just madness. The floaters could have been a whole lot more interesting resources and they could have been integrated with Mars purposes as well. E.g., 'robots' instead of floaters. Only a few cards in the expansion are interesting; the rest is just Venus focused. Moreover, I don't feel that the newly added point routes are as meritful as the ones in the base game.

So you have 'spare resource' expansion and 'resource sink (for points)' expansion - fits well, don't you think? :)
