Thread: Dead Reckoning:: General:: Island names

Can someone verify a post in the Kickstarter comments? I'm reading that in the English version of the game, some of the Island tiles have French and German names on them. I for one find this very weird and do not appreciate it at all. I bought an English copy of the game, and can't relate to any mention of this in the Kickstarter updates.

English tiles:
Seahouse Isle
The Twins
Widow's Bridge
Deepreef Crag
The Spire
Devil's Backbone

French tiles:
Le Rocher Maudit (The Cursed Rock)
Les Eclats Venteux (The Windy Shards)
L'Ile du Crane (Skull Island)

German tiles:
Der Teufel (The Devil)
Die Feuerinsel (The Fire Island)
Die Katzenklauen (The Cat Claws)

In my mind this is either a production mistake or a cheap way to cut the cost of production.
Can John D. Clair maybe elaborate on this?
