Everyone felt it was pretty straight forward. (Gaming group was GF, Wife, other GF and friend). Starting with the 2nd turn, we would discard our cards from the (original method) into discard piles between us and the person to the left. During subsequent turns, we would pick these piles up, along with the 4 cards we are drawn to select from. friend said he felt drawing cards took more time than to pick up the discard deck.

Observations. The piles got over 8 twice during the game. The game felt as speedy as picking 4 cards, except you had several other cards to pick from. It did give that" decision making" where u had to think were u going to pass cards to someone elses strategy. The GF( noted that she used this strategy to slow down my wife's microbe strategy - although unsuccessfully the wife ended up winning by 1 point). Everyone said that they did find at least one card at one point to aid in their strategy.

I'd call it a success. Felt like the best of both worlds. Overall Game length, we finished at 10:10pm and started at 7:30.
