I haven't played a game yet, but from the rulebook and the puzzles, it seems to be a savagely difficult, cerebral 1v1 (or 1v1v1) game. It's got simple rules, but your options scale exponentially over the course of the game, to the point where there are potentially hundreds of distinct things you can do on each turn.
