Great ideas all. Techs are the one area where Antike can be improved imo. As it is, most players get most techs in most games. It would be more interesting if you really had to choose which techs to go for each game. In that regards, perhaps the cost of techs should go up as you have more of them. E.g. +1 gold for each type of tech (i.e. each column) you already have.
