Thread: Terraforming Mars:: Rules:: Does the order of things that happen make a difference?

I started to play terraforming mars on boardgamearena and sometimes you can choose the order of different events, for example when i play the mining guild and i get a placement bonus, the game asks me, what i want to do first, get one steel or raise my steel production. This also appears for stuff that the other players get while i make a turn.
I was thinking about it for a while and i couldnt figure out a scenario where the order makes a difference.
Does anyone know if it really matters?
