The following asymmetry between factions is as follows:
Itar - Pay a power token when deploying your exploration shuttle
Nevlas - Pay a power token when deploying your exploration shuttle
Baltaks - Pay an additional 2vp when deploying your exploration shuttle
Xenos - When they turn Ore into power tokens they go into bowl 3 rather than bowl 1
Gleen - Now have an action that they can use once per round in order to increase their range by 2.
Bescods (Mad Andriods) - start with an additional 2 science (3 total)
Lantids - now have a base income of a power token and they have a card that covers their planetary institute in 2 and 3 player games. It makes all mines give 2 science in a 2 player game and makes mines built on other players hexes give 2 science and a power in a 3 player game.
Let me know if I've missed any out.

So, How can apply these adjustments to the fractions which related to the new exploration shuttle to play base game only (to Itar, Nevlas, Baltaks and Taklons)?
Or just ignore them and keep the changes to Xenos, Gleen, Bescods, Lantids and Ivits (unrelated to exploration shuttle)?
You could make advanced techs cost the additional power token/put brainstone into Gaia area for Itar + Nevlas/ Taklons respectively. I don't think that Baltak's need a nerf in the base game but the expansion elements are particularly strong for them so I'd keep them as they are.
I think that's a reasonable solution, even if it's hard to say if it will happen as much as exploring a fleet vessel. It will surely hamper the Itar and Nevlaks, but they needed it so it's probably fine. I agree about Baltaks by the way, and it wouldn't make a lot of sense to lose points when you take an advanced tech.
It would be really nice if an official version (or at least recommendation) of how to apply these adjustments could be released, especially since only 2 (or 3 with Baltaks) are tied to expansion elements.
