It's not like the overlay is completely solid without a lot of holes that could be used for the same purpose. Besides, the problem is not the size of the overlay, but the size and alignment of the holes. Or they could simply have more space around it if necessary. Suggesting that the error was a "deliberate design choice" is frankly preposterous.

I played it once and noticed the problem immediately after placing the overlay on my duchy board. I didn't get the Special Edition the first time due to personal (not money-related) reasons, and I was on the fence now, but this is the deal-breaker for me.
