I know this seems like a relatively minor point but I really endorse the idea of having another player colour. One of the reasons I know I was interested in Oath is I do have a play ground which is 6/7/8 people frequently, and we are all roleplayers and board gamers, so games you can really get stuck into at those player counts are few and far between.
I love the fact people can drop in and out of oath, but it does feel a bit weird that after our first teaching game where I'm the purple chancellor and everyone has a colour, when I'm deposed I switched to blue (blue is now purple) and then when the next chancellor was deposed they switched with yellow and you're sort of playing musical chairs with colours. Mechanically it works fine, but just feels off.
I totally agree. The start Chancellor should choose a color too. That would be great to have
