They were willing to lie to backers with the concept art (yes, I know that it is always subject to change... but these aren't even close to being what was shown). They were willing to lie to backers after our shock at the physical reveal, saying the art would be brought more in line with the concept images. They were willing to lie to backers that quality control would not be an issue (almost a third of mine are garishly off-center).
Notice a recurring theme...? They were more than comfortable misleading the people who wanted to support them with this project...
Sadly, the wooden leader BS isn't even the worst part of this product. Seven (SEVEN!!!) differently shaped/sized boxes were shipped with this, and there's no freaking way to consolidate it in an efficient manner. Heck, getting just the base game components back in is a challenge...
If a company has this little respect for their customers, they shouldn't be in business. I will not purchase any future Phalanx products after this experience.
