I am confused by this, do you need to complete a triangle with three sides, to get the bonus tile? Or are just two walls of the triangle enough to get the bonus tile because you now have three border posts with connections? I was assuming three walls is the way.
Based on the automata rules for scoring, though, it seems like maybe only two are needed? But that almost doesn't make sense to me thematically. You need to complete the triangle with straight lines, three walls, to get the bonus tile, correct?
The automata doesn't score any border points until it completes two cards with the border post symbol (not just one), so that's like connecting one border post to another (1 line). But then it says it will get the bonus tile if it completes ONE more card, that's only 2 lines, not a compete triangle with 3 walls/lines. I'm definitely overthinking this one 😅

The rules are very clear: "The 1st & 2nd players to connect ALL THREE border posts get to take and immediately score the corresponding border post bonus tile"
Chateauma scores its own way but that doesn't apply to you as the player

This still does not make it clear at all. Making two walls still results in all three being connected. It is still equally unclear as to whether it must be in a straight line or just contiguous from one hex adjacent to the border post to another hex adjacent to the other boarder post. Just stating that it is very clear does not mean it is true. There is indisputable ambiguity, and it’s pretty weak that no one in any official capacity has clarified.

I’ll point out once again that the fourth post in this thread is from the lead developer of the special edition.

Where does it say that they speak in any official capacity? Random name with no profile bio or overt claim to authority.

The name is the same as the one listed next to Developer: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/363622/the-castles-of-bu...
But yeah, I didn't catch that either originally.
Ernest - if you see this and want the designer badge (we don't have one for developer) linked to your account, please send me a GM. Thanks
