I don't understand something : borrowing a game or prototype from a publisher isn't something anybody can do, right ? Isn't it a free service provided by the publisher, to only a selected few ?
A non-financial business transaction occurred. A previewer got to see a game-prototype for a bit then send that prototype along to someone else. The publisher got some words about them. The previewer got to write some words about the game. The transaction is ended.

No affiliation.
BoredBoardGamer1 uses the claim of "affiliation" in a way that would mean I'm affiliated with McDonalds because I got some ice cream from there a few years ago.
