Post is a little late today but I still managed to get 2 turns in for Spirit Island and what two turns they were. Tsunami is absolutely awesome! In the second turn (slow powers phase), we managed to get into Terror Level 2, and we already have 2 fear cards ready to go for next turn, and we're only two fear away from another; although I don't think that's going to happen before the Invader phase.
Rampant Green has added Song of Sanctity and River Surgers has added Gift of Power (considered Drought over this card, but didn't want to add the blight to the board) and used that to also add Drift Down into Slumber.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to prevent a blight and cascade on the far left wetlands, so we moved from Healthy Island into a Blighted Island where we're each going to have to forget a power or give up a presence every round. Still overall pretty satisfied with these two rounds.
Next 1-3 rounds covered in tomorrow's post.
Other News:
Been playing an awful lot of SETI: Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence this week as the playtesting period is about to wrap up. While it's been fun (and a lot of hard work and brainpower to help out in the playtest), I feel like I FINALLY might actually be good at the game, which has only made me want to play it even more. I actually have only played this one in multiplayer (even though there is a solo option as well), but well over 30 plays by this point.
Also, last night, I received my PnP files for Rome: Fate of an Empire. Not sure if I'm going to construct a PnP deck or just wait for my physical copy, which should be about 6 weeks out, but since it's a solo game already and feels like it'll be rewarding in a longplay format, I would expect to cover it on an upcoming playthrough.
