Fascinating.

This game sold itself to us in one play. And when I say us, I mean every AEG staffer that tried it at Gen Con 2011.

There is luck, sure, but being able to control your fate (by selecting which deck to draw from, and whether not take the face-up card), for me, means I can typically execute my plans to capture select petitions.

Late game there can be some sharking, but, as has been said elsewhere, I view that not as a bug but a feature.

Part of enjoying Courtier is, IMHO, recognizing that the early game and e late game are very different.
