A "highly polarizing" game would have plenty of votes in the 1-3 category. For Terra Mystica just 1.4% of all votes are in the 1-3 range - if we include category 4 it's 2.3%, and even if we add in the category 5 votes (which means "average game, slightly boring", not exactly a polarizing opinion :)), the total is at 4.0% of all votes. OTOH more than 90% (!!) gave it a 7, 8, 9 or 10.
Those who dislike TM for whatever reason are in a tiny, tiny minority. You may belong to this minority and that's totally ok, but it doesn't mean the game is "highly polarizing". :shake:
OK granted, its triggered some serious loving on BGG. But it splits opinion when I talk to gamers IRL and I would call TM's mathy eurochurn a 'special kind of fun'.
